HP’s most recent earnings report, issued Thursday, said about half of the company’s revenue came from notebook computer sales — a 30 percent revenue increase for notebooks year over year. Dell’s latest earnings report, also released on Thursday, said the company saw a double-digit growth in revenue from Chromebooks.
